My man, is the best. There really is no other way to put it. He can clean the apartment in a fraction on the time it takes me, sometimes it really kills me that I can't do that. And yes, he really does clean and not just hide things :). He can organize in a snap, he can read me like a book with extra large letters, make me laugh even when I don't want to, he goes to work everyday to provide for his family and protect his country, he's the best Dad a little girl could ask for, and on morning's like this one, he's my knight in shinning armor!!!! Let my tell you why....
Aud is an early riser. Early. The last 3 morning's it's been 0500-0530. Today is a big day. We're going to try and get on a plane to come home!! Praise God! With getting up earlier, she's also been a bit of a bear. Ben had off today and I was praying so hard last night Aud would sleep in with the long day of travel we have in front of us. But, at 0445 this morning she woke up crying. Ben got up went into her and did something I have never been able to do. He put her back to sleep. He's my hero everyday but even more today. I'm showered, bags are packed, I'm fed and watered, and she's still sleeping. Bliss. Relief. Thankfulness.
She is such a Daddy's girl, it's almost ridiculous. I'm praying she does well while we're home without him. She's going to have so many distractions and people to love on her- she's going to have a blast!!!!

Baby Powder
The other morning Aud and I were getting ready to go out the door and see Daddy. Aud was all ready just missing her hat and jacket. I was brushing my teeth while she un-packed the diaper bag. I was less than a minute into brushing, my teeth when I smelled baby powder, a lot of baby powder. I stepped out of the bathrrom into the hall and found an empty bottle of powder and the wild woman. I got down on my knee and asked, "Lou, what happened here?" She replied "Pow-doo Momma" in a tone of voice that was like you really don't know?
Praise God it was only a small bottle of Pow-Doo!!!

Sidewalk Chalk
The wild woman loves to color! After she wakes up in the afternoon we go outside to blow bubbles, color with sidewalk chalk, and pick posies. She talks about it and says she's "cited Momma"
We were running out of the first bunch of four sidewalk chalk colors so I went to get some more and they had a box of 12! I have to admit, I was really excited!! haha Ben took her out the other day to play and I went down after getting dinner ready for a friend of ours. I don't know who likes coloring more, Aud or us.

Hohenecken Burg Hike
We were blessed to have Daddy home with us on Saturday, it was a surprise day off!! It was a beautiful morning so we decided to take a little hike. The first winter we were here Ben and a friend of his did some trail riding up to this castle super close to our apartment. We thought that would be a great morning hike.
We really had no idea where the trail started. Ben googled it and found there were multiple way to get to it and it just depended on how long we wanted to hike. It was getting closer to nap time a lunch so Ben drove around the village to see which trail would be the best one to do.
We parked right off the street and walked up the steep cobble stoned path that was nice and slippery with the moss and morning dew. The wild woman loved it, she said she was "CLIM-ING"!!! haha
There were two churches on the stone street that lead up to the path. This is the little one that was tucked into the trees on the left hand side.
We made it up the steep street and hiked up the hill to the castle. We had to stop and see the other water fountain. The little plaque above the rusty pipe says "Kein trinkwasser" No drinking water.

New Deuter Pack!
We've been looking at framed backpacks for the wild woman and future kiddos. We tried a Kelty and looked at some more then we came across the German model, Deuter. We tried it out and really liked it. We ordered it and had to wait awhile for the shipment to come in. We're so thankful we'll have it to take home for our planned hiking trips and for cities, festivals, and hiking around here.
Ben brought it home and told Audrey it was her's. You'd think with how excited she was about it and calling it "bebe's" she would like to get in it. Wrong. haha She hated it! She screamed and carried on like a...wild woman. Ben and I were like, well, we just spent how much money on this pack and she hates it. So we decided that she's going to like it one way or another. The next day thought it would we a good idea to put her in the pack and take her for a walk around our house and slowly try and get her used it. Before we went downstairs Ben put her in it again to get it adjusted correctly. She was a wreck. We took her out and went downstairs for our walk.
haha so she HATES getting into the pack but once she's on Ben's back, she's ready to go!!

"Ear you gooooo"
Wild woman's phrase of the week! Last night she was climbing on Ben after he got home and his wallet fell out of his pocket. She loves Ben's wallet, especially looking at his ID and saying "my Daddy". Ben asked the wild woman if she would please give Daddy his wallet. She stands up and in the sweetest voice you've ever heard says " Ear you gooooo Daddy"! You could literally see Ben just melt! We both agreed that was one of the cutest things she's done.
Then today when we where outside for our daily bubble blowing and sidewalk chalk masterpieces, the wild woman went "clime...ing" up the hill to pick "poosies". I asked her to come back down to Momma, which to quickly obeyed and brought me mini daisies that were picked off at the tops. She ran over yelling "run run run run, go go go go" and wiggled in between my knees, looked up at me and said "ear you gooo Mommy". All I could do was scoop her up, kiss her chubby cheeks off, and tell her just how much I love her and how thankful I am God gave her to me. She's the absolute sweetest. She is the biggest blessing and we are so thankful God has blessed us with her. Then off she went waving to me and saying " Eeee you ater Mommy, bye bye"

Some awesome updates!
First let me just tell you what a big girl we have! Today was the second Sunday Audrey was excited to go to her classroom! No tears, no screams, no clinging. We're so proud of her! I know, it really doesn't take much! :) Last week the wild woman's teacher came up to me while I was getting her things together and said, "I can't believe how many animals and the sounds they make Audrey knows! Even the exotic ones!" God had given us such an amazing girl with a deep lover for animals and music! After I picked her up she RAN into the sanctuary and started dancing, clapping, and shouting SING SING SING MOMMY!!! So, we stayed 15mins into the second service so she could sing and hear the worship. She's so awesome and I just thanked God she wanted to praise Him too!!
We've had a nice weekend with family and hope that you all are as well! Thursday was a bit of a rough one! The wild woman was supposed to have her 1st dentist appointment. Supposed to. She fought nap time a little bit, so she went down a little later and slept right up until we had to walk out the door. I woke her up, got her dressed, and had all the bags by the door to grab on the way out. I had switched diaper bags earlier on and forgot to grab my keys.... argh. I got down to the car, went to unlock and it hit me. I started having all kinds of negative thoughts but stopped myself and thanked God for the reminder to slow down. Ben canceled the dentist appointment but it still counted as a "no show" because it wasn't canceled 2 hours prior to the appointment time. I know, like I could have planned that in two hours I'd be rushing and forget my keys. Anyways, we had Daddy call the maintenance guys, who forgot about us, and we played outside for two hours. It was a beautiful day and the wild woman had a blast blowing bubbles and coloring with sidewalk chalk. Two things that I always make sure are in my bag (other than my keys :) ).
Friday was my first day back in the NICU. It was a down day so the normally crazy hospital wasn't crazy at all. It was awesome. I followed a retired Major who spent 17 of his 27 years in the military in the NICU. He was the one who taught my Neonatal Resuscitation class a few weeks ago. He is an extremely knowledgeable nurse and great teacher! I was helping him with some vitals and things he he asked me what it was going to take to get me to work there. I was taken back a little bit because I had only been there about 2 hours. I said well sir, my family comes first. My husband works 12 hour days and the days he's off one week, he works the next and we as a family have agreed on no daycare for our daughter, that I was going to stay home. He said, "Yeah, I like that! But we self schedule and you could totally do part time. DO me a favor and get your resume in to the charge nurse this week. There isn't an opening now but I want yours to be on top if one opens up in the near future." haha I said wow thank you very much! I'll go home and talk to my husband about it and maybe get my resume cleaned up. What a blessing!!!! I was really excited at first and Ben was all for it. The extra income would be outstanding and we could work it so that I'd still see Ben on his days off and Aud wouldn't go to a sitter, she'd have more Daddy days. I've been talking to God about it and asked him to show me area's I'm not thinking about and to make this decision clear. As of right now, I'm going to just volunteer. If I would take to job and Ben deploy, I would be stuck here and have to find someone to care for Aud 12 hour days or night putting her to bed, getting her up and breakfast. It's not something I want to do while Ben's away. I feel like it's really important she has me there while Ben's away. Yes, I'm going to need some me time for some recharging but I feel like that's something our families should be apart of. We're going to need that support system when the best Daddy and Husband in the world leaves. So if you would just pray for us and this decision. We would appreciate it!!
Saturday we had a great breakfast downtown with our good friends. There was a festival going on and they had 4 stages of bands playing. I was so irked my camera was left at home charging. It was called swinging K-town. It was awesome! Aud danced like it was her job! haha Ben did grab a pic of her in her crown and balloon with his iphone . I'm really really really going to miss the food here when we leave. I wasn't sure about the breakfasts at first but midmorning they're not so bad. Its at 0700 that meat and cheese gross me out for breakfast.
Anyways enough of this novel! Have a great labor day all!!
And I just realized in these pictures that she's playing with a cigarette butt.... haha wow. I saw what she was playing with after Ben had taken the pictures and ran over with a wipie in hand!!!
