From my reading today in 1 Thessalonians 5:
"18 xgive thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. "
It doesn't say, consider giving thanks in all circumstances. It's a command, GIVE. I am not called to give thanks just when things are going well, I'm called to give thanks in ALL circumstances, even the roughest circumstances.
