Five Generations

On our last trip home, the kiddos and I, my youngest sister, my Dad, and my Gram (my Dad's Mom) drove over to see my Great Great Grandma (my Dad's Grandma). We were able to grab a Five generation picture! It was a great visit and I was so proud of the wilds, they were super loving to each other and anyone else they met.

Had to throw in there one of the many outtakes :)

haha oh my.

Playing in the Rain, with the hose :)

One of the wild woman's favorite things to do is play with the hose. During our last visit to Oma and Poppa Charlie's house it was pouring out but that didn't stop her from her daily hose time.

My beauty

Just a swingin'

This is Judahcub's first time on a swing! His sweet little mouth hung open the entire time :)

We love books

Books have always been a toy to Audrey. She will sit and look at books for hours. She could be read to for hours- and a few days out of the week thats exactly what we do. Ben and I both have a strong desire to instill a love of books and reading in our babies. I was concerned at first that Judahcub didn't like reading but lately he's really into it. He'll waddle over to the bookshelf my Dad made, grab a book,  look at it (usually it's upside down) and turn the pages while gibbering to himself.

And then one day, the best photo opt happend. They sat down beside each other and shared books. I can't believe I actually got pictures of it!

Princess Carl

When the wild woman was itty bitty, we started reading her Carl the Dog books. They have very few words. tons of pictures, and you can make the story different every time. Another reason we like them so much is because the dog in the stories, Carl, is a Rotweiler. Ben's Momma sent them to use right after we got Beretta, a present to her "grand-dog":) Anyways, when we were home for some weddings when Aud was 18months, Brenda gave Audrey this stuffed animal that looks like a Rotweiler and has a hot/cold pack inside of it. She named the stuffed animal Carl and has slept with him ever since, barring the week that Carl took a vacation at Meem's house because he wasn't ready to come back to Germany that one time... aka- Momma didn't check the bed before we left.  Carl is vital to our everyday life around here and I love watching the ways she plays with him.

The wild woman latest and greatest thing is dancing. She loves to dance and wants everyone to dance. Since Judah isn't up to her dancing partner standards quite yet, and Momma can't dance all day long- Aud took matters into her own hands one day.

When she told me to come look at Carl, I never expected to find him this way :)! She's so creative, I adore it.
Oh wild woman, I look forward to the day that I can tell you and you understand just what a complete joy you are and how you illuminated some of my darkest times.

Judah is 1 Year Old

There's always at least one of the wild's naked. (Like the nicely placed black and blue mark on the middle of his forehead?)

First Cookie!!! It was a hit!

Weight: 26.8lbs
Height: 31 3/4 (a whole inch in a month!!!)
Wearing: 24m- 2t clothes, using up the size 4 diapers but really in size 5

Eating:

I have been blessed with two fantastic eaters! Judah eats anything and everything. Some of his favorite foods are peas, carrots,  blueberries, strawberries, bananas, avocados, mushrooms, homemade turkey burgers, homemade chicken pot pie, and anything I'm putting into my mouth.

Sleeping:
Still teething, so nights are up and down. For awhile Judah was only wanting to nap once a day for 3-4hrs which was okay but he was a bit of a bear by the time bedtime rolled around. Now he's back to 2 naps a day totaling 3.5-4hrs. Also, now that we are outside a good bit, both the wilds are sleeping great!

Development:
Look out, we have a wild man on our hands! The bottom teeth are poking through so now we have 6 teeth and my goodness are they SHARP!! :) Judah is a running, climbing, waving, blowing moochers, trying to use sidewalk chalk, dancing, and singing MACHINE! I really couldn't comprehend why everyone said boys are so different than girls. I would shake me head and say, they're babies of course they are busy and into everything, is there really a difference with boys and girls at this age? haha I get it now. I get it. Judah is 110% little boy. There is nothing he won't try and it doesn't matter how many black and blue marks he has, he's going to try it over and over until he gets it :) Ugh.

His understanding is just amazing. He knows where parts of his body are, he knows where to look for the dog, and follows simple commands like "Judah, bring the book to Momma". He's the happiest lil' fella with such a sweet personality. He does have a bit of a short fuse... When it comes down to needing a sippy, he wants NO time to be wasted. I remember thinking "surely, this kiddo will be my calm one" haha I was so wrong.

11 Month Old Judahcub

With chaos at our house, this is a little late and I didn't get a chance to take his monthly picture on his cowboy blanket :(. But anyways...

Length: 30 3/4 inches long
Weight: 25 lbs
Wearing: 18 months and 24 months and 4-5 diapers

Eating:
Now that we have little built in razor blades, Judahcub is really enjoying gnawing everything. Instead of things he's eating, I'll put the things he doesn't like which isn't much.  Actually I'm trying to think and I can't  bring to mind a food he doesn't like...Unlike the wild woman, Judah prefers smaller bites. He's a little funny about textures and smaller bites help. On of the most exciting things that has happened this month, Judah is starting to be able to digest diary. Which is actually more exciting for me because now I can eat dairy! I'm just doing very small amounts.

Development:
Judah's teeth have finally started to come in. In multiples of 2. Judah took his first steps on May 1st right before his bath and walked on Mother's Day!!! What can I say, hims a Momma's boy. Needless to say the black and blue marks are gaining in number :)  He's finally taking a sippy cup! Woo Hoo!! It was hard at first that he was too busy to snuggle and nurse but he's growing up. Judah hates the way grass feels on his feet and loves to mimics nosies his sister makes. Especially screaming out the widows and anyplace that echoes :)

Sleeping:
Sleeping has been a nightmare with teeth coming in. Ugh. Once they break we have to do some sleep training that has been very effective. Sometime he'll sleep 6hrs in a row but usually 5. I'll take it. Anything is better and every 2hrs.
