ugh, it's been a rough week. Audrey started with cold about a week and a half ago, then last Friday I felt it coming on. Usually I have a few days where I can try and curb it but not this time. I was full out sick last Saturday. Of course, I get the sick when Ben has no chance of getting off, it's how it happens all the time. We both thought back and every time I've been sick, he's had to work.
I was a mess. I was so scared about getting Judah sick, I felt like I wasn't taking good care of the kiddos and Ben was feeling horrible that there was nothing he could do. I needed help with the kids and could barely take care of myself.
Praise Jesus that Ben was allowed to drive halfway home after work on Saturday to meet his Mom so we could go back home with her. I felt bad because it was a really late night for Ben and he had to get up in the morning but there was no other way to do it. I know it was a lot of running but when you're lying on the floor crying because you know you're not being a good Momma, because you feel like you've been hit by a bus, because you want to hold your baby close but don't want him sick because it could mean another stay in the hospital, because you're alone and needing help- it didn't matter how much running had to happen. I'm just so thankful, so thankful my Mom-in-law drove 3hrs both ways to pick me and the kids up to take care of us. She welcomed us and all of our germs in for a few days until I felt better.
I'm still coughing a good bit but feeling much better. I was able to rest while my kiddos were loved on and taken care of. The wild woman had a blast with her Oma, Meemim, Aunt Doedoe, Uncle Jake and her Poppa's. The best part is that Judah has not been sick. Such a blessing and pure answer to prayer.
Judah had a good time too! He's such a happy boy and is really growing! Chub is being added by the day and he's trying to roll over! I can't believe how fast he's growing and with every new thing he does, I just can't help but be full of praise and thankfulness.
