Playground Fun

I count it such a huge blessing to have a playground right outside our fence. There's a huge soccer field, a playset that's Audrey's age and a little older, a playset that's just Judahcub's size, a nice pavilion, and bike paths. It's great. We go for wagon rides to get the mail then make a circle to the playground .The kiddos run in the field to the playground while I trail them with the wagon. The best part is that there are no other houses behind it. It's just open.

We go everyday, sometimes twice :) We take advantage of every bit of warm sunshine that we can!

My Wild Woman

My wild woman is 3.5 years old. At times I have to remind myself that she is only 3.5, not older. Her vocab, processing, memory, and comprehension is just unreal. I'm in total awe of her. She is so true to her name, a noble strength. She's fiercely independent, has such a tender loving heart, funny as all get out, and a mind that stuns me.

Weight: 37lbs
Height: 39inchs
Wearing: 4t

Eating:
The wild woman is a fantastic eater. She will try anything if asked and will let you know her honest opinion. She could live on fruits and veggies alone and be just fine. Her new favorite veggie is snow peas and have taken a shine to red raspberries- something she didn't care for last year. She's able to eat more dairy now but prefers not to. She'd rather have the unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

Sleeping:
It may have taken us a hot minute but my girl is sleeping through the night and just recently- sleeping past 0630. I know, it's been a true gift from God- not other explanation. And actually a few morning's of 0730. I went up a few times just to make sure she was okay :)

Development:
The wild woman has been in big girl panties for awhile now and has done amazing! Thankful for weeks of dry nights as well. If she have to go to the bathroom, she gets out of bed and goes all by herself- she's she a big girl. Only on days that we've been out in the heat and drinking water all day do I put her on the potty before I go to sleep. I won't restrict fluids on hot humid days when my goal is to keep my kiddos hydrated. Audrey's been really into learning letters lately. She's got A B C D down and is recognizing letters in her books. I've been pointing out letters while we read and she loves to find them on her own now. Her pictures are also turning more into pictures that I can tell what they are :) Her princesses and dinosaurs are fantastic! This past week she's been making different faces too- they've been mostly mean faces haha :) She loves to sing, make up stories, and hear exactly why things are the way they are.

Judahcub's 14 Months

Judahcub is 14 months old and what a month it has been! Judah has become an expert at asserting his opinions, his joys, and his dislike for anything that comes to him. Just like Audrey, it seemed like 'Cub woke up and thought to his sweet little self- it's about time I get my point across :)

I'm in a biggie boy seat now!!!

Relaxing at the table... he's something else :)

Momma shaved my head....

Weight: 27lbs
Height:
Wearing: mostly 24mons, 2T, and size 5 diapers.

Eating:
eh, eating has been off this month. Wild man is working on some molars. What he loves one night- we won't eat the next night. It's been a joy :) He's never been a big breakfast eater, polar opposite from the wild woman. So I've found smoothies work the best from him. I load it full of spinach, fruit, and sometimes yogurt.

Sleeping:
Brace yourselves... Judah has been sleeping through the night folks. Yup, we're having a party to celebrate it. There's been a couple night where he's slept 11-12hrs straight!!! Most nights it's 4hrs then 8hrs. I love it. I really really love it.

Development:
He's such a happy lil' man who's personality is 100% little boy. There is nothing 'Cub won't stomp on, put in his mouth, wreck, climb, push, swing at, beat on, growl at, puff his chest out, or provide entertainment. He loves to lounge back any chance he gets. A few places he's mastered- the bathtub, the bench at the dog park, his booster seat at the dinner table, and the wagon.

His understanding is outstanding. He is a pro at picking up his bath toys and putting them in the basket as soon as he hears the drain. When Momma asks who wants some snacks, or that it's time to eat- his leggies move at the speed of light! After breakfast, it's time for a sippy and he knows it! He will do the "sippy dance" (my goal is to get a video of this week) but if Momma takes too long to get the cup assembled or heaven forbid have to hand wash it- he goes from 0-meltdown in a flash.

At bedtime he knows it's time to read the Bible and brings it right to Daddy. His new thing is folding his hands when we pray. Made my heart just swell. I pray with him each night before I lay him down and now he folds his hands. When Momma announces it's bedtime, the wild man runs to give Daddy and Auddy moochers.

A few of Judahcub's favorites : his Momma (we've been inseparable this past week) his slide in the living room, The Pout Pout Fish book, Jazz Baby book, the barn flap book, being outside, going to the dog park, his camelback or whatever Aud's drinking from, blueberries, strawberries, Beretta, Daddy's tools, any of the kitchen cabinets, climbing, waving Hi, his ball cap, the  wagon, being naked. He'll come to me pulling at his shirt, pants or diaper, it must be in their blood to be naked all the time... they get that from their father :) hahah I wish you could hear me laughing now, sometimes I'm just sooo funny!!!

Beach babies

A few weeks ago Ben and I had a meeting with a finical advisor who was on the shore. We packed the kiddos swimsuits and thought we'll just try it out- totally winging it. Our advisor suggest the bay beach, it wasn't as packed and the water was much more calm. Sounded like a plan to us! We had heard rumors about military getting a free beach pass but couldn't find anything online about it so we were prepared. Praise God the man was super kind and helpful and gave us beach badges so we wouldn't have any issues if we returned.

Audrey was immediately in love. We walked right up to the waves, let the water hit our toes, and wiggled them into the sand. She was simply delighted! It was one of those times that my heart just swelled making that memory with her. At first, Judah loved the beach. He was chasing birds, loving the feel of the sand on his toes, and just having a huge area to run. Then we introduced him to the water. He liked it at first... then the waves came on the sand and he was not a fan. Not a fan at all. What Judah loves about the beach is eating sand.

We didn't stay too long. The kiddos were wore out and we didn't have much beach gear. It was a fun time and hopefully we'll be able to make it back.

Hmm, this looks like it could be fun...

This is much better

Lovin' the beach!

1st Haircut for Judahcub

At 12 months old, Judahcub almost had more hair than Audrey at 2yrs. He was looking mighty shaggy so we got his first biggie boy haircut at Be Beautiful Salon.

Please don't mind my facial expressions, ugh.

He did awesome

Just a little wiggly towards the end of the trim

First Birthday Party!

For my biggie boy's First Birthday, I chose the road less traveled- the pintrest free party. It was a little last minute but it was very nice. The weather was awesome and we spent the day celebrating Judah's first year. His party was on the same day he had his open heart surgery. I had flash backs all day. I cried a couple times thinking about what I was doing, the thoughts going through my minds a year prior. I played the song in my head over and over that played as I drove up to the hospital at 0500 in the morning. I cried as I held him as he fell asleep for a nap thinking about how I held him before he went in for surgery. I just kept thanking Jesus for how he brought my baby boy through it all and how much He has blessed Judah.

13 Months Old!!!

Judahcub is 13 months old! We've had a busy month! We were able to go home for Judahs's first birthday and have a little party, we got Judah's hair cut for the first time, Judah threw his first fit, first swim in the pool, first cookie, first cake, first corn on the cob, first time eating dairy, and first time with crayons!

Eating:
There really isn't anything 'Cub won't eat :) He's even been able to have some dairy!!! We're just on a trial run but it's exciting! He likes to feed himself, it has to be cut up in just the right sized chunks, and if it feels just the least bit funny- forget it. :)

Sleeping:
Judah is napping in morning and having "a quiet time" that's not so quiet in the afternoon. I think we're going to try and morph into one nap in the mid day over the next few weeks. He sleeps about 12-12.5hrs at night with one wake up (on a good night)

Development:
This month has been the month that Mr. Wildman has started to find ways to get his point across. He is such a happy boy and still is pretty easy going. He's a great listener and his comprehension is just growing leaps and bounds. He's able to sit longer through books, will actually sit down and turn pages- makes this Momma so happy :). He's into self feeding, rocking the sippy cup, and is giving up his bink.
Some new words: "dis" (this), "ooose" (nose) , "I's" (eyes), "eeif" (teeth),  "sis" (sippy), "um" (yum).
Animal nosies: dog, kitty, monkey, cow, bee's, lion (he's the best lion roar-er ever), and grunts and growls like crazy. Another first of this month: Judahcub's starting to fight back against the wild woman's reign.
