Wildwoman's style

The wild woman has given up naps much to distress of her Momma but we do quite times instead. (We prefer early bedtime instead of a nap and a 2200 bedtime...) She can look at her books, listen to books on CD, or play quietly. This is how I found her the other day. In her chest my Dad built her with a nordic hat on, beads, and dress up clothes....

Floppy sun hat, Christmas apron, and a broom

Nordic hat, camo jacket, Christmas apron, and purple snow boots.

Rollin' and getting wrapped up

Judahcub's new thing is wrapping up in anything. He loves to get things wrapped around himself like blankets, towels, and belts :) We always have blankets in the living room and the wild woman usually has them spread on the floor. Judahcub rolled over the other morning and grabbed the corner and just kept rolling! He was so proud of himself and just kept doing it. It kept him entertained for a long time! When I do laundry or trying to wrestle him after a bath, he'll grab a towel and roll up in it.

The wild woman and I went to circle time and with the flu on rampage around here, Judahcub stayed home with Daddy. Aud left a blanket on the floor and Ben was able to take some pictures of him in the act.

And now with Daddy's belt

7 Months!

Weighs: 22.5lbs
Height: 29 inches
Wearing: 18 months

Sleeping:
Judahcub naps anywhere from 1-2 hrs in the morning and anywhere from 1-2 1/2 hrs in the evening. He goes down for bed between 1830 and 1900 after reading with the wild woman. Sometimes falls asleep eating but most of the time he talks himself to sleep. It's too funny.

Eating:
A huge Praise God Judah's growth spurt is over. He was eating every 2hrs through the night for about 3 nights. It was rough. He goes about 3-4hrs during the day and about 3-4 1/2 at night. He has solids at breakfast and dinner. He still doesn't like cereal but I made him oatmeal and he was ok with it :) What can I say, he really is a Mommas boy and likes Momma's cooking the best:) Some new food we've tried this past month blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and will try broccoli this week

Development:
Our biggie boy has been a busy boy! He is soooo close to crawling! It's quite funny watching him try and get the hang of bring his knees up under him and keep his head up at the same time. I think he's trying to watch where his knees are going. He's really getting into balls, banging things to see what kind of noise they will make, and patting things. haha Audrey did this pat stage and I was so excited when Judahcub started! He loves to prop himself up on his elbow. He's trying to sit from that position and gets a little frustrated when it doesn't go his way. He love to make us laugh. One of his favorite toys are the spring door stoppers all through our house. He loves to flick them over and over and over and over again. Now he'll go over to the stopper, flick it and quick turn his head to watch us laugh. He's saying Da Da Da and Mummmm Mummmm, and still does this goofy gully gully gully noise with his bink. He makes the silliest noises and has just recently realized how to scream... very loudly. Still loves chewing on his hands, fingers, and toes.

Such a silly boy!

Mid-scream

Mummm

I know, he's the cutest ever.

New House

Well, we've been in our new house almost 2 months now and I'm starting to feel a little bit settled. Ben and I were talking last night after moving some furniture around and we both agreed that it's not quite there yet. There are no more boxes to unpack in the house... notice I said house. The garage however, is a different story.

We are so very thankful that we were able to move on base. It's not perfect but that's not what matters. The kids and I feel more safe and we can afford to keep it warm inside. I'm not head over heels about being in the middle with a house on either side, but our neighbors our kind and we haven't had a problem with noise thank God.

Here are some empty house pictures. I'll post some more pictures up of everything moved in when we get things were we like them... it might be a bit :)

This is looking in from the front door. Immediately to the left is a 1/2 bath. The next door on the left (that you can see here in the picture) is the utility room. Then the stairs and the next door is a hall closet. The door on the right hand side goes out to the garage.

This is the dinning room

The kitchen from the back door.

Another kitchen shot. There are so many things I miss about Germany and my kitchen in our little tiny on base apartment was one of those things. Sigh.

The first 1/2 of the stairs

From the landing looking up at the washer and dryer closet, the wild woman's room in the middle, and the guest bedroom to the right.

The next door down from the washer and dryer is the kiddos bathroom/quest bathroom. I'm so excited about this bathroom! It's the hungry caterpillar bathroom! With the white walls and beige floors of military housing, I wanted some color, and wow- did I ever get some!! We're waiting for the fabric for the shower curtain and then it'll be finished, minus a towel or two. Can't wait to put pictures up!

This is the wild womans room.

Master bedroom/Judahcub's room

The door on the right is the master bath and the door on the left is a HUGE walk in closet, or as we've made use of it... Judah's room.

Need a giggle?

Mid-cough...

End cough.

Stuck under the chair... of course I ran and got the camera first. :)

Haha ooh the wild woman.

Watching the washing machine

One of 'cubs favorite things is watching the washing machine. When I'm upstairs doing laundry, he right beside me watching. Okay, so this picture is a bit staged with the bumpo but you get the idea :)

Judahcub is 1/2 of a year!

6 Months OLD!

Weight: 21lbs
Height: Not sure, we're going to the docs soon
Wearing: select 9month outfits, but mostly 12-18mon clothes

Sleeping:
Wouldn't it be great if I could say he was sleeping through the night and I was the most rested Momma ever? :) Yeah, it would but it wouldn't be the truth! Judah's been napping in the morning anywhere from 1hr-2 1/2hrs and in the afternoon he naps about 2hrs. During the night he'll go anywhere from 2 1/2 - 4/12hrs, mainly it's about 3 1/2.

Development:
It amazes me how fast he's changing! He learns something new and give him a day and he's a master! He has gotten quite fast at rolling to get wherever he wants to go. It's starting to get him into some mischief, lil' stinker. Of course everything and anything goes into the mouth and he's still super drooly. Some biggies for Judahcub this month- He's sitting up all by himself and he's started talking! On the 20th at about 3am when all of us were up watching Curious George (because both kiddos were sick with runny, stuffy noses, couldn't breathe, and were WIDE awake) Judah was rolling on the floor beside me when he rolled over, looked up at me and yelled BA BA BA BAAA! haha He's since said Mum. I'm so proud of my boy! Audrey was exactly this age when she started talking and it has yet to slow down :) He's quite proud of himself when he sits. It's adorable. He's also very found of taking toys in and out of baskets, and chewing on books.

Eating:
Judah cub loves to eat, no kidding huh? He's nursing every 3-4hrs round the clock. He still won't eat grains but loves fruits and veggies. It's going to be a work in progress.  He's not a fan of peaches or bananas. There hasn't been a veggie he won't eat. We tried avocados and he's all for it! He's still a handful to feed but we're seeing some improvement. He likes to be in his highchair while we eat with a clear view of the wild woman.

Can you tell we were mid-tipping? haha

I love to eat!
