Judah Charles

Judah Charles was born tonight at 2146 weighing 9lbs 7.5oz!!! He's simply beautiful with his big hannies, blonde eyes, barrel chest, and my chin. He looks just like daddy and like the wild woman when she was born- just a good bit bigger. Well know more after his echo and the plan for surgery. Thank you thank you for the prayers. We will post a picture soon.

And it begins

We're at CHOP and they just started the pitocin. I thought I was leaking fluid but they're not sure. Being that the induction was set for tomorrow at eight, we decided to just start a day early. My doctor is fantastic and is on till morning and midwife is awesome as well. Can't believe I'm sitting here looking at the warmer and talking about what's going to happen in the next couple hours. Thank for your prayers and continued ones. We will be posting updates here as often as we can.

Wednesday at the latest!!

Well- no baby yet :) This little one will come when she/he is good and ready- well actually, Wednesday at 0800 is the very latest. My induction is set, and we're praying baby comes naturally before then. Audrey says, "baby won't come out Momma".

Feeling good, just very uncomfortable. Baby is at -1 station, I'm 3cm dilated, and 80% effaced, it could be any time now or maybe not :)

39 weeks!!!

Can't believe it, 39 weeks tomorrow! Even with the sleepless nights, the can't get comfortable sitting, laying, or standing, the bruised ribs from some very powerful footies, the belly that grows by the minute, the back ache that never quits, the countless trips to the potty, baby being at 0, -1 station for 2 weeks- I'm not ready for this to be over. Crazy huh?

Audrey was born at 39 weeks 1 day, after 26 hours of being maxed out on Pitocin. I was really excited about going into labor naturally with this kiddo. Not to elevate myself but, if I could take 24hours of no pain medication while on the maximum dose of Pitocin- I thought I'd be able to handle a natural labor with no pain medication. Still hoping to get that chance but we'll see. We go on Thursday to our last prenatal appointment to schedule an induction date. The team of doctors don't want baby going the full 40 weeks, so I understand and won't be putting up a fight about it. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.... :)

Anyways, things are good here. No signs of anything changing in the near future so I will be patient and wait on God's timing- not my own. I guess steam cleaning the carpets last night at 2130 didn't seem to bother this kiddo or do anything to coax him or her out. My family has been fantastic with coming out to help. My Mom drove after school on Friday, in the dark to stay the weekend then my baby sister drove out on Sunday after my Mom left to spend a few days with us and to help. Mom's coming tomorrow to stay so I'm not allowed to have the baby over night :) There's nothing like having your Mom come and take care of you, your house, and your wild woman during the scariest days ahead. Ben and I are so thankful for the prayers and thoughts from everyone. We know the next month or so is going to be the hardest thing we've gone through but know that with the prayers from everyone and our faith- that things will work out just as they are supposed to.

Two finished rooms!!

The house has been a slow work in progress with me trying to keep baby inside and not go into labor, and Ben pulling all of the weight. BUT, now we're at the 38wk mark, look out house- your about to be conquered! Here's two rooms that are done. The others still have odds and ends in them so you'll have to check back for more later!

Here's the wild woman's room and new baby's room (kinda). The new baby will be with us for a long time then over with the wild woman. The other room is on the first floor, Ben and I both agreed that having kiddos on different floors was something we didn't want- so we'll see how this works!

On to the kitchen. I was not a fan of our 750sq foot apartment- but I did adore my kitchen. It had space everywhere, cabinets that weren't used, and it just flowed nice. Not the case in this house. I like the kitchen, but it's a little cramped with not alot of room to store things. The cabinets are real shallow, and goofy sized. We're just trying to use our space creatively. I'm in the kitchen a good bit, and slowly improving my cooking skills so not using things and storing them away is not a option. It's already been rearranged multiple multiple times maybe I'll get it how I like it before it's time to PCS again.

Painting Rocks with Meemers

My Mom, the wild woman's "meemers", came to help unpack boxes, cook freezer meals, and to watch the wild woman while we had our all day appointment 2wks ago... I know- a little late. Meemim brought river rocks to paint into ladybugs. Aud was all about it!!

They are still a work in progress. We needed to apply multiple coats, and hit a rainy patch there for a week. Maybe with Meemer's coming this weekend, they can be finished up! The pictures were to cute to be hiding in the draft folder.

Air Show

A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law came up and we were able to attend the Air Show on base. I've never been to an air before and was excited and apprehensive. The Thunderbirds flew in a few days before the show and were practicing right over our house. Audrey was less than thrilled. She has a hard time with noises. In Germany there were planes flying over the apartment all the time and every once and awhile she would get scared. The sirens would startle her too but here, she'll stop whatever she's doing and just run. I feel so bad. It can be a motorcycle or garbage truck and she'll run over covering her ears asking "What do I hear Momma?" So you can imagine my apprehension to an air show with the wild woman especially when her Daddy would be working during it. She does much better when she's with Ben, she always has and I can understand why.

So I just left things up in the air and prayed a good deal. We went early in the morning as soon as the flight line was open. The actual air show didn't start until the afternoon so I thought we'd just go in the morning and I'd pray that she'd sleep through some of the show at home. She loved going onto the plans and running around the flight line. We took her stroller even though she hasn't been in a stroller in almost a year, so thankful we did. We didn't have to wait in any lines to go on the planes and there were hardly any people around. Also, the very kind SSgt. directed me to the very entrance of the flight to park so we wouldn't have to walk- it was wonderful! Here's som pictures from our morning on the flightline...

She had a blast going on to all the planes, we still talk about it :)

After walking up and back the whole flight line in the hot sun, we all were ready to head home for a nap! We stopped and saw Daddy and decided to come back after she woke up from her nap to watch the show. We were able to come back to the kennels so Audrey could be with Daddy and have some shade. It worked out great. Granted, she was more interested in the flowers, bugs, and dogs than the air show, but it was still a great afternoon. Daddy helped with the loud noises and Aud did great! It was a huge blessing to be able to go inside away from the noise when she wasn't feeling it. Thank Auntie Em for all your help- I WOULD NOT have been able to do it with out you!!!
